Italy has long been on the bucket list. I did visit Naples on a port visit courtesy of the U.S. Navy back in 1990 which included a day trip to Rome but that was just a taste. I had the Rick Steves book for Italy but it was huge: 1,262 pages. Overwhelming. Also, the driving I saw then in Naples scared the heck out of me; I didn't want to drive around Italy like we did in England, France and Germany. But then I saw an advertisement for the "Classic Italy" tour hosted by Tauck. It was exactly what I was looking for. So I signed us up. A guided tour was a nice change; I didn't have to plan anything. Soon the day came and we were off to Italy!
